Jessica Irwin is an inspiring keynote speaker who shares a powerful message of resilience and redefining what is possible. Living with severe cerebral palsy, Jessica brings a deeply authentic perspective to every stage. Each one of her talks challenges assumptions and allows audiences to see communication, ability, and independence in a totally different way.
Although non-verbal, Jessica has mastered the craft of transforming her communication device’s voice into something truly expressive and human, bringing it to life through timing, storytelling, and her commanding stage presence—captivating audiences of thousands and earning standing ovations around the world.
Her speaking journey began with a guest appearance at Wired for Wonder alongside Dr Jordan Nguyen, speaking about inclusive technology. Following this, she helped showcase groundbreaking Psykinetic’s eye-controlled technology. Jess continues to deliver countless keynotes demonstrating how this technology empowers non-verbal individuals.
Following a preventable traumatic experience during her hip replacement in 2019, Jessica expanded her advocacy into the medical field. She now presents at Sydney’s leading hospitals and universities alongside Dr Bill Bestic. These talks aim to educate future healthcare professionals on effective communication strategies with non-verbal patients—work that has proven to improve patient care and experience.
Jessica has also presented at SEPLA-CON 2025, inspiring special education principals and teachers in what is possible for their students.
In 2026, Jessica was selected as a top 10 finalist in the TEDx Global Idea Search. She went on to win the competition, travelling to Canada to deliver her talk on the TED World Stage — continuing to inspire change on a global scale.
